Anyone with an interest in agriculture is welcome to join us!  Our mission is to help ensure that the public understands the importance of California agriculture, and to support its continued existence and success. Meetings are held monthly, either at the Grower Shipper Headquarters in Salinas, or a various locations throughout the tri-county area.  Check our home page for upcoming meetings and events. If you would like to join our chapter, download an application and either mail it in or bring it to one of our meetings.  We look forward to having you join us!  Membership in the local chapter also includes membership in the statewide organization.  You can learn more about the statewide chapter by visiting their website. californiawomenforagriculture.com Mentor Program for New Members Membership Mixer 2010 Joining a new group can be intimidating, so we have designed a program to make it as easy as possible. Every new member is assigned a mentorto help them ease into the group. Some of the activities that the mentor can help with include introducing the new member to other chapter members, being available to answer questions about the chapter and its activities, and accompanying the new member to meetings and events. The mentor can also help the new member select a volunteer committee to further increase their involvement with the chapter. It is our hope that these activities will increase the comfort level of new members, so that they will stay active with the Salinas Valley Chapter for years to come.
